Satoshi Yagisawa chose the theme Bushido, the fundamental Japanese code of the samurai knightly order, for this work and traced the life of a heroic and passionate samurai knight in the 19th century in his music. The Japanese atmosphere can be further enhanced by the optional use of Japanese instruments such as drums and bamboo tubes.
