Mr. Krosnick and Mr. Kalish were joined by Darrett Adkins, a cellist, and Christina Dahl, a pianist, for Richard Wernick's spirited, grandly scaled Double Duo (2004), a piece that works its magic by having the pairs of pianists and cellists begin in tandem and gradually find their independence. subtle changes of texture were everything.
