Mike Svoboda continues his series of Concert Etudes for Solo Trombone consistently with Etudes Nos. 6 and 7. While the first five pieces of the ten-part collection were primarily pedagogically motivated, the focus here is on expressiveness and virtuosity. Both works were commissioned by the ARD International Music Competition and are aimed at advanced players who want to challenge themselves both technically and artistically.
