"Sinfonietta Nr. 2" is based on cornerstones of history from the Austrian town Timelkam (Ober-Österreich). The Castle: It was the impressive history of the Neuwartenburg castle that inspired the composer to open the Sinfonietta with a powerful fanfare in the style of classical party music. Dominated by brass players, there is some minimal accompaniment added to create a symbiosis between the past and present.
