During the years 1965 to 1974 there was a vivid exchange of letters between Frank Martin and Paul Badura-Skoda.
During this time Martin composed two works for piano on behalf of Badura-Skoda: Second Piano Concerto (1968/69) and Fantaisie sur des rythmes flamenco (1973). How close the collaboration and mutual trust between composer and pianist was can be seen in this book from their letters. A musical piece of contemporary history.
