Rooted in the inner physicality of the Japanese language, composer Yu Kuwabara born in 1984 explores the origins of sound and language, and develops his creations with the main focus on connecting the past and the present with the East and the West, and creates solo piano works that express a fantasy world based on a fictional legend set in Sanuki (Kagawa). It is based on a collage of rain begging dance songs that have been passed down in various parts of Kagawa Prefecture and its development.
