Preface
In the summer of 2001, my wife Alexandra the dedicatee of the Barcarolle (w 206 / Syrinx No. 218) and I spent our honeymoon in, among other places, my beloved Concarneau, the city in which, as a young composer, I played my own music for the very first time in front of an audience in the Centre des Arts et de la Culture.
