The Concerto GWV 310 follows the three-movement type that Antonio Vivaldi had devised in Italy, consisting of two fast movements and a slow middle movement. Unlike Vivaldi, however, Graupner was less concerned with virtuosity in the solo part – the register chosen by him does not pose a particular challenge either.
