Desert overture fanfare was inspired by the spirit of the Desert Overture Wind Symphony. This outstanding ensemble is conducted by Scott Helms and was commissioned for them by Robert D. Lynn.

The piece opens with heroic brass fanfares interspersed with lyrical flowing lines in the wind section. After the opening material, we hear the main theme stated by horns and winds.
