A song cycle full of contrasts with German-speaking poetesses from the Middle Ages, from the Romantic period, the 20th century and today.

They focus upon love – dreamed, platonic, physical, happy, unhappy, euphoric, angry, elapsed and forgotten love.

Even if these songs are about the feelings of women, their interpretations will of course get through to men, the actual subject matter of these poems and who perhaps may learn something new about the matter of love.
