Two melodies are interwoven in the “Hungarian Rhapsody”: the “Song of St. Stephen” and the “Song of the Patron of Hungary”. From a free improvisation, the composition was created. The melodies sound simultaneously and are led into a hymnic finale. The tempo should be adapted to the room acoustics. The noted tempo indications are to be implemented here moderately.
