A setting a poem by the former Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, 'Rublev' ('One day, God walked in'), inspired by the famous Russian icon, The Trinity by Andrei Rublev (c1360–c1430). Simon Beattie was buoyed on to set the texts of this and it's partner work ('To Our Lady') to music following a performance of his 'Advent Calendar', which sets another of Williams's poems.
