Agustin Barrios Mangoré was one of the most important composers in South America. His works are influenced by the folk music of South America and the classical music of Europe, especially J.S. Bach.
He has influenced many composers and artists, including Heitor Villa-Lobos, Manuel Ponce and Andres Segovia. The first volume of this 4-volume collection of his works contains 23 pieces.
