This work consists of six variations on the popular theme “Oi della Valcamonica.” The variations explore different musical styles, ranging from South American to tango, from a romantic theme to a waltz and a folk dance.

The theme is developed through various compositional techniques, sometimes in a simple manner, at other times in a more refined way.
