Commissioned by the Styrian Brass Band Association on the occasion of the brass band pilgrimage to Mariazell in 2017. The composition owes its foundation to one component in particular: The knowledge of the location of the premiere - Mariazell Basilica. The idea of setting a scene from the Bible to music quickly came to mind: The snake tempts Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge. God banishes them both from paradise.
