The range of the "Miniatures" series extends from short pieces for solo instruments with piano accompaniment to compositions for mixed chamber music ensembles.

Miniature No. 50 "Golden Times" was commissioned on the occasion of the golden wedding anniversary of Josefa and Ernst Gritzner, which is why the wedding march from Wagner's "Lohengrin" is briefly quoted at the end. The piece is therefore perfect for round wedding anniversaries.
